The Center is located across from the memorial and commemorates 41 people who lost their lives in the struggle for equality and integrated treatment of all people; it continues to be the hope of its founders to teach tolerance, equality and justice.
  • The Alabama Shakespeare Festival (ASF) is a magnificent theater established in 1972 by founding artistic Director Mr. Martin Platt. ASF showcases wonderful plays for great live family entertainment. It is known today as one out of ten largest Shakespearean festivals in the world. It produces approximately ten productions each season. The ASF builds community by inspiring, engaging and entertaining people with life transforming theatrical performances and compelling educational and outreach programs.
  • Founded in 1930 by artist John Kelly Fitzpatrick, the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) is the oldest fine arts museum in the state of Alabama. Today the museum celebrates its 25th year in the Blount Cultural Park and commemorates its vast achievements. The museum houses an ARTWORKS program for children and has also transformed its permanent art collections. MMFA is recognized for its evolution into a collecting institution in equivalence with the greatest in the Southeast.
  • The Riverwalk Stadium opened its doors in 2004 and today houses the Montgomery Biscuits of the Southern League, a minor baseball league.
