The city was originally founded in 1876 and was named after a former Texas Ranger and brother of the governor, Mr. Thomas Saltus Lubbock. Constructed in 1930, it is an amazing example of fine art depicted in the historic buildings constructed throughout this mid-size town.
  • Mackenzie Park is also another excellent place for seniors living in Lubbock to experience peaceful walking trails, amusement rides, golf, and so much more. Mackenzie Park features its lovely sculpture garden, as well as a prairie dog habitat for your pets.
