Dorothy has extensive experience with aging population. She was the main caregiver for her aging parents for 10 years, where she dealt with numerous medical conditions and health issues that her parents experienced. In addition to her personal experience, Dorothy received a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Gerontology from the University of North Texas in 1996, as well as a Master’s Degree in Gerontology from Miami University, which she received in 1998. Dorothy is also a Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator, with extensive knowledge on how senior care facilities work, as well as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. Having both the education and work experience in the senior health and care field, Dorothy enjoys educating seniors and their families on various issues associated with senior health, senior care, nursing homes and assisted living.
